With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Lee Ritchie of Lonaconing, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David Lee may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Wallace Ritchie and Minta Cecelia Ritchie (Dawson); and his brother Donald John Ritchie. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor (Timney); his son David Ritchie (Amy); his grandsons, David "DJ" Ritchie (Brionna) and Lucas Ritchie (Abbey Nebelski); and his sister-in-law Angela Ritchie (Winkler). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home (8 E Main St, Lonaconing, MD 21539). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
