He is survived by: his siblings, Jenny Ewald Tippins and Marion Ewald Sumner; his former spouse Mrytle Broyles; his stepbrothers, Bill, Paul and Norman; his child Shirley; his wife Shirley; his daughters, Sharon Shaffer (Joseph), Joyce Vanneman (Ray), Joy Schibblehut (Neil), Sandra Mister and Gail Steinhoff (John); and his grandchildren, Neil Schibblehut, Jr. (Amanda), Amanda Sparrow (Michael), Phillip Schibblehut (Pepper), Amy Gonzalez (Chris), Julie Rando (Rick), Michelle Vanneman, John Steinhoff II (Sarah), Jeremy Vanneman (Liz), Jennifer Mazzella (Michael), Stephanie Hickcox (John), Kristen Colyer (Kevin) and Daniel Steinhoff (Victoria). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvert Grace Community Church (9870 Old Solomons Island Rd, Owings, MD 20736). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Southern Memorial Gardens (10155 Ward Rd, Dunkirk, MD 20754).
