He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Eckstein and Elvera Eckstein; his son Anthony Eckstein; and his brothers, Richard and Donald Eckstein.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Paul Eckstein Jr. and Lisa Eckstein; his grandchildren, Stashia Alvarez (Edgar), Matthew Eckstein (Heather), Nicole Burger and Anthony Kenote; and his great grandchildren, Maricella, Yulissa, Edgar Jr., Lovely, Atlas, Kaleb, Austin, Wyatt, Cameron, Carson, Isaiah, Mariah, Iyana, Maliyah, Messiah and Mia.
