He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Michaels, Sr. and Cora Michaels of Union Bridge. He is survived by : his spouse Viveca Michaels; his daughter Courtney Wright (Colin); his son-in-law Zach Nall; his grandchildren, Theodore, Joshua and Holland; and his siblings, Herbert Jr., Ronald, Bernard, Lawrence, Gene, Leonard Michaels and Rita Rountree. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel (3296 Charmil Dr, Manchester, MD 21102). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in Marlin's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
