He was predeceased by : his parents, Jake Strickland and Eugenia Strickland; his brother Jakie Strickland; his daughter Heather Underwood; and his nephew Joshua Strickland.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Strickland; his daughter Jessica Underwood; and his siblings, Debbie McGuigan (Jimmy), Ronnie Strickland (Jeanie) and Betty Tilley. He is also survived by grandchildren, many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (7345 Indian Head Hwy, Bryans Road, MD 20616).
