She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Sylvester Truitt and Clara Rita Truitt. She is survived by: her grandson Jamar Gattis; her sisters, Joan Irene Maxfield (Jerome) and Lucy Matthews (Nelson); her children, Leroy Ballard Jr. (Tommie), Trudine Gattis (Isaac), James Jones, Tyrone Jones, Sharone Jones, Darrell Jones, Kimberly Waples (Ronnell), Shawn Jones (Veronica), Tammy White (Larry), Warren Ballard, Monica Smith (Hurley), Kent Howell, Patricia Holland, Nanette Mifflin, Reginald Robinson and Timothy Hall Sr.; her siblings, Eleanor Truitt, Silvia Truitt, Virginia Jackson (Theobald) and Clifton Truitt (Deborah); her sisters-in-law, Bessie Dickerson (William) and Delores James; and her aunt Thelma. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Church (25750 Cooper Mill Rd, Mardela Springs, MD 21837). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
