She was predeceased by: her husband Leland Hedgecock Smith; her son Ethan Donald Smith; her brother Joseph Edward Raymond; and her parents, Evelyn Lorraine Shephard and John Donald DeCosta.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher James Smith, Joshua Charles Smith and Tarah Rosanne Phillips (A. J.); her grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, Mila Smith, Tristan Smith, Karleigh Stewart and Parker Phillips; and her siblings, Donna McLeod (Dennis), Edmund DeCosta (Stacy) and Susan King. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
