He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Mary Virginia Shryock (Funk); his wife Mildred Marie Shryock (Kershner); his sisters, Nancy Raymer and Janet Smith; and his nephew Michael Raymer.
He is survived by: his daughter Ann Mason (Dave); his granddaughters, Abby Newland (Thomas) and Paige Mason (Blake Truax); his great grandchild Isaac Newland; his niece Susan Raymer Wood (Steve Haines); his sister-in-law Margaret Cornett; and his pet Jax. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
