She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodolph Welch and Jennie Welch; her husband Everett Eugene "Tommy" Thompson; and her siblings, Paul Vincent Welch and Linda Elizabeth Hanson.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Thompson (Melissa), Brian Thompson (Melinda), Kevin Thompson and Jennilee Hancock (James); her grandchildren, Bryce, Breanna, Owen, Chloe, Hollie, Abby, Madison and Mason; and her siblings, Gary Welch (Vern), John Welch (Loretta), Maryanne Stine, Edith Davis, Arleen Oliver (Henry) and Joan Smythers Joyce (Dick). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home (22955 Hollywood Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Charles Memorial Gardens (26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650).
