He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Tazina Samaroo; his children, Tony Samaroo, Maria Rasheed, Karen Knox, Rani Baksh (Neil), Lisa Hewick (Mark), Natalie Takos and Ashley Jadoonanan (Ravind); his sisters, Rani Sewdass and Dodo Seepersad; and his parents, Lutchman Singh Samaroo and Gangadeha Samaroo. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Raphael was a very generous man who always donated to the less fortunate.
