He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife JoAnn Sagan; his sons, Scott Sagan and Bryan Sagan; his grandson Joshua Sagan (Hillary Gruzs); and his brother Leon F. Sagan.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bruzdzinski Funeral Home (1407 Old Eastern Ave, Essex, MD 21221). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
