Merritt of Middletown, Maryland, born in New Berlin, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Leo B. Stapleton and Catherine R. Stapleton (Gebhart); and her brother Robert L. Stapleton. She is survived by : her sister Elizabeth Casey (Betty); her husband Thomas Merritt; her daughters, Jannelle Merritt-Pizzola (John), Manette Osifchin (Richard) and Trina Delauter (Keith); her grandchildren, Jessica Delauter Remsberg (John), Emily Delauter, Timothy Osifchin, Jeffrey Osifchin, John Pizzola and Jayne Pizzola; and her great grandchild Archer Remsberg. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
