He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Mary Gotard Sr. (Poulton); and his daughter Susan A. Gotard. He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Gotard (DiProsperis); his sons, Michael (Terry) of Bedford and James (Kimberly) of Damascus, MD.; his grandchildren, Justin, Ted, Allison, Sam and Leanne; his sister Catherine Schmoll (John) of Rockville, MD; and his brother-in-law Ronald DiProsperis (Diana) of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
