He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Sampson Payne and Elizabeth Thomas Payne; and his brother Howard F. Payne. He is survived by : his wife Mary K. Payne; his daughters, Elizabeth Marina Payne and Christine Rose Payne; and his sisters, Katharine P. Wetherell, Betty H. Payne and Margaret P. Raymond. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
