He was predeceased by: his son Robert P. Mettert. He is survived by: his wife Martha J. Mettert; his children, Larry D. Mettert Jr. of Martinsburg, Jennie L. Mettert-Young (Ken) of Middletown, James E. Mettert and Nancy Mettert of Inwood; and his grandchildren, Ericka Mettert, Christopher Mettert-Young, Brittany Pakula, Brandi Carmichael, Allison Young (Ally), Nicole Mettert and Cora Mettert. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
