We announce the death of Sherrard S. K. Sherman of Middletown, Maryland, who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 88. Sherrard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bidwell Sherman and Erra Long Sherman. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sherman of Frederick, MD; his children, Cynthia Sherman Lewis of Summit Point, WV, Peggy Sherman Swope of Hagerstown, MD and Gene Sherman of Frederick, MD; and his stepchildren, Christine Prorock Rogers of Somerville, NJ, Mark Prorock of Huntingtown, MD and Nicole Prorock of New Market, MD.. He is also survived by extended family and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
