With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elna Vann Derato (Mount Airy, Maryland), who passed away on August 26, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnnie Vann and Sarah Byrum Vann; her sister Peggy Brady; and her great grandchildren, Libby and Josie.
She is survived by : her husband Michael B. Derato, Sr.; her children, Michael Jr. (Sandy), Penny Chandler (Lee), Karen Derato, Hanna Clerkin (AJ) and Sage (Emma Chandler); and her siblings, Ann Crane, Thelma Barnes, JD Vann (Debbie), Jimmy Vann (Lou Ann), Jerry Robertson (Susan) and Vicki Daughtrey (Tommy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, dear friends.
