It is with sadness that the passing of Gene Dewey Combs of Mount Airy, Maryland is shared. Gene, born on April 9, 1947, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Gene will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Gene by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Gene is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Gene’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd George Frederick Combs and Lucy Marjorie Callendar Clark; his brother Mike; his son Richard Floyd Combs; and his wife Linda Rae Twining Combs.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristen Clark; his grandsons, Joseph Clark and Jonathan Clark; and his sister Mary Kuhl (Carey).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Deep Waters Tabernacle (9861 Old National Pike, Ijamsville, MD 21754).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the above-named church.
