It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Smith of Mount Airy, Maryland, born in Whately, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Szulc and Mary Szulc; her husband Harry R. Smith Sr.; her brother Eric Szulc; and her daughter Christine M. Heerd.

She is survived by : her sister Barbara Iazzetti (Armando); her children, Harry Smith Jr., Steven Smith Sr. (Mary) and Linda Frazier (George); and her grandchildren, Betsy, Steven, Hannah, Claire, Aimee, Emily, Lexy, Olivia, Neil, Gabriel and Ryan.
