He was predeceased by: his sister Judith (David). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Mark (Shannon) and Matthew (Mary Claire); his grandchildren, Sean, Brady, Megan and JD; and his brother Calvin (Dorothy).
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Timothy Catholic Church (8651 Biggs Ford Rd, Walkersville, MD 21793). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association in John's memory.
