Though Lawrence may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lawrence touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Machlan and Elmina Machlan. He is survived by: his spouse Joannah; his brother Howard Machlan; his children, Glenn and Linda Colbert; and his grandchildren, Isaac Colbert (Angel), Kristin Nastvoge (Estefan) and Alyssa Machlan. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Greenridge Baptist Church (21925 Frederick Road, Clarksville, MD 20841).
