It is with sadness that the passing of Nellie F. Brown of Mount Airy, Maryland is shared. Nellie, born on April 12, 1925, passed away on October 23, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nellie F. Brown to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband G. Leroy Brown; her parents, Harry B. Fleming and Estella Elizabeth Shoemaker; her daughter Kimberly A. (late Kenneth B. Barton); her siblings, Wilfred Fleming, Gertrude Hulver, Flora Richard, Walter Fleming, Harry B. Fleming, Shirley Dubel and Nelson Leon Fleming; and her sister-in-law Hazel Woodfield.

She is survived by: Jenny Haugh (Mark Haugh) of Mt. Airy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory (1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvary UMC.
