He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice O. Collins; his parents, Orban, Sr. Collins and Jennie Horton Collins; and his daughters, Bonnie Jefferson and Wanda Short.
He is survived by: his children, Austin Collins, Donald Collins, Floyd Collins and Cindy Hamilton. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
