With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip Joseph Ferrara Sr. of Mount Airy, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on July 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Ferrara and Rosa Sciacca Ferrara; and his siblings, Charles, Rose, Mary, Grace, Annina, Josephine and Angelina.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Ferrara; his pet Chloe; his children, Rosemary Levy (Phil) of Mt. Airy, Terri Clevenger (Marty McIlvain) of Mt. Airy, Philip Ferrara, Jr. of Mt. Airy and Michelle McGraw of Mt. Airy; his sister Geraldine Rizzardi of Olney; his grandchildren, Chris, Stephanie, Brendan, Sean, Donald of Lauren, RJ, Alyssa, Nikki, Matthew, Olivia and Austin; and his great grandchildren, Alexa, Brennan, Dillon, Corbin, Cooper and Rhett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
