It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Bowie of Nanjemoy, Maryland, who passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father William Lewis Bowie Jr.; his stepfather Roger Dyson; and his girlfriend Missy Strobel. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Bowie; his daughters, Catherine Murphy (Martin), Katrina Dismuke (Robbie) and Christina Miller (Terry); his grandchildren, Hailey Steele, Paige Murphy, Ryleigh Murphy, Gabriel Miller, Emma Murphy, Joshua Miller, Nicholas Miller and Jimmie Dismuke; his siblings, Tina Millar, Terri Doak (Robert), William Bowie III, Emory Bowie and Roger Thomas Dyson; his sister-in-law Sandy Schubach; and his close friend Danny Milstead (Jerry). He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gary's memory to his daughter for preservation of the family farm.
