He was predeceased by: his wife Betty L. Bastain; his parents, Thomas E. Bastain and Violet C. Bastain; his sisters, Gay Miller, Anna Hancock, Betty Jean Bowie, Elaine Bastain and Julia Rye; and his great grandchild Tommy Haley.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Willett (James) and Tommy Bastain (Cyndy); and his grandchildren, Randy Haley (Ann Marie), Amy Willett (Nick) and Jamie Welch (Jeff).

Memorial contributions may be made to Nanjemoy Baptist Church and or Hospice of the Chesapeake in memory of.
