With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Lewis Bowie Jr. of Nanjemoy, Maryland, who passed away on April 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mae Bowie; and his children, Tina Marie Millar, Terri Lynn Doak, William Lewis Bowie III, Gary Lee Bowie and Emory Lee Bowie. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williams Funeral Home (4270 Hawthorne Rd, Indian Head, MD 20640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
