It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Xavien Bert Carroll of Nanjemoy, Maryland, born in Laplata, Maryland, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 19, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Cierra Carroll of Washington and Bert Carroll Jr.; his cousin Jada Proctor (Best Friend Jaquan Keys); his daughter Layla Johnson; his siblings, Malachi, Aziah Carroll, Kiara Carroll and Taylor Jackson; his niece Jayliah Jackson; his grandparents, Carroll Gray Sr. (Raynell Washington), Bert Carroll Sr. and Tanya Carroll; his uncle Carroll Gray Jr.; his great-uncles, Elton Carroll, Edward Carroll, Mark Carroll, Amos Sr. of Washington, George Jr. (Janice) of Washington and Charles of Washington; his aunt Gabrielle Carroll; his great-aunts, Marva Yvonne Carroll (David) of Washington, Phyllis Carroll, Doris (Tudy), Barber (Robert) and Yvonne Tibbs (Andre); and his close friends, Asia Johnson, Jada Proctor, Tevin of Washington, Corey Jr. of Washington, Deisha of Washington, Jacquan Keys, Leeshonn Farrar, Kemonie Brawner, Jamya Harley, Desmond Coates and Anthony Walters.
