John A. May Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. May Sr. of New Windsor, Maryland, who passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harry May and Malinda Leanna May (Reaver); and his daughter Lori Jean Shriner. He is survived by: his wife Virginia E. May; his children, Donald W. Shriner, Sr. (Debbie), Sandra L. Gillespie (John A. May, Jr.), Tina (Perry May) and Crystal Ryder (Terry May); and his brother Charles L. May. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartzler Funeral Home- New Windsor (310 Church St, New Windsor, MD 21776). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048).
