He was predeceased by: his parents, John Claude and Rachel Mae Purvis (Lawrence); his wife Evelyn Jean Purvis; and his sisters, Barbara Forsythe and Faye Smart.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Purvis and John Purvis; his nephew Paul Smart (Pam); his sister-in-law Harriet Shiffman; and his friends, Mary Deegan, Betty Morris and Alisa Piotrowski. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
