She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hemphill and Goldie Hemphill; her nephew Torenzo Hackett; and her siblings, Leon "Sonny" Clash, Beverly Saunders and Altamese Hackett.
She is survived by: her husband Cliff; her son Dion Saunders; her siblings, Vernetta Hackett and Chauncey Saunders; her daughter-in-law Marsha Maxwell; her grandchildren, Cleon Tollerson, Tazmine Vance, Torenzo Saunders, Alexis Lewis and Dion Saunders, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Oaklee and Ivy; and her cousin Richard Blanks.
