He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Pettitt and Eva Scott Pettitt. He is survived by: his wife Gail Blomquist Pettitt; his children, Laura Hendrickson (Benjamin), David Pettitt (Kimberly), Craig Pettitt, Pamela Haley (Steven) and Jeffrey Pettitt (Karen); and his siblings, Ina Mae Dickerson, Janie Moore, Marie Barrow, Delmer Pettitt, Aaron Pettitt, Rachel Hayes and Benny Pettitt. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren.
