He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Jones Smith and Minnie Smith (Carhart); and his spouse WillaMetta Smith (Phillippe). He is survived by: his children, Dwight A. Smith (Jackie) of Elkton, MD, Betty Jane Smith Adams (Dennis) of Rising Sun, MD, Donald K. Smith (Debra) of Winter Haven, FL, Douglas E. Smith (Karen) of Annville, PA, Leonard O. Smith (Frances) of Rochelle, GA and Linda L. Smith Glixon (Roy) of Ashton, MD. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren, one great grandson deceased and 9 great-great grandchildren.
