She was predeceased by: her parents, Flora Mae Lewis Smith and Thomas Berton Smith; her husband Roger Hugh Pierce; and her siblings, Charles O. Smith, Margaret "Peggy" Smith Sylstra and Esther Smith Wilson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherrie Lynne Pierce, Diane Michelle Pierce and Kimberley Anne Pierce Hefner (Ronald); her daughter-in-law Denise Blakely Pierce; her sisters, Irma Smith Petley (David) and Caroline Smith of Georgia; her grandchildren, Brandon Scott Pierce (Yvonne), Ryan Andrew Pierce (Rachel), Chase Martin Hefner (Jennifer), Meghann Elizabeth Hefner D'Anna (Angelo), Garrett Pierce Hefner and Cameron Hugh Pierce; and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Sienna Pierce and Joseph D'Anna.
