He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Spence and LaReda Sutphin Spence; his sister Polly Ann Spence White; his brother-in-law Richard White; and his niece Diane White.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hammond Spence; his children, Steve Spence (Sara), Susan Spence Banks and Mark Spence; his grandchildren, Brandon Banks (Dakota) and Ashton Banks Duszynski (Jon); and his great grandchild Emmett Banks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made to Samaritan's Purse, in care of Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901.
