He was predeceased by: his parents, James S. Rowles, Jr. and Flora May McClelland Rowles; his wife Mildred "Jackie" Rowles; his son David Allison; and his siblings, Harold Rowles, Thomas Rowles and Jean DeMond.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan DiSabatino and Marian Roberts; his close friend Jean "Rennie" Irene Carter; and his sister Lareda Tome (Vernon). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; countless great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
