He is survived by: his children, Donna Nichols (Ernest) of Aberdeen, MD, Dawn Simmons of North East, MD and Lance Simmons (Susan); his sister Shirley Carter (Jim) of Newark, DE; and his close friend Bandit. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
