He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson Speck and Elizabeth Holman Speck of Repaupo; his wife Doris Elaine Speck (Bowers); and his sister Bertha Kelley. He is survived by: his children, Vernon Speck of Crownsville, MD, Nancy Metcalf (Bill) of Charlestown, MD, Janet Johnson (Robert) of North East, MD and Steven Speck (Carrie) of North East, MD; his grandchildren, Wesley Johnson, Christopher Speck (Gabrielle), Devon Johnson, Keegan Antonitis (Tim), Cole Metcalf, Delaney Speck and Michael Metcalf; his great grandchildren, Callum Antonitis and Hayden Speck; Carla Speck of Riva, MD.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crouch Funeral Home (127 S Main St, North East, MD 21901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the North East Methodist Cemetery (101 Cemetery Road, North East, MD 21901).
