He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. James L., Sr. and Helen A. Thompson; and his brothers, Gene Thompson and Donald Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Wanda L Thompson; his children, Leslie D Thompson II, LeShawn D. Thompson and Justine N. Davis (Ralph); his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Joelle, LeTrell, Jaliyah, Logan, Carmelo, Kamari and Kareem; his siblings, James Jr., Mark (Ernestine), Alton N. (Sharon) and Marilyn; his siblings-in-law, Clifton Wilmot (Michelle), Alonzo Wilmot (Rachel), Timothy Wilmot (Julie), Charlean Wilmot, Wilma Wilmot and Diane Thompson; and his aunt Dorethea Christie of Oxford, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North East Methodist Church (308 S Main St, North East, MD 21901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
