Mary J. Whitehead Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary J. Whitehead of North East, Maryland, who passed away on December 20, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Mary shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mary farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johnson and Emma Johnson (Kirkpatrick); her husband Leon A. Whitehead; and her sisters, Frances Johnson and Margaret Hamilton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda A. Powers of North East, MD and Sharon L. Smith of Rising Sun, MD.. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
