He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion B. and Marie Viola Cieplak, Sr.. He is survived by : his wife Lilly Cieplak; his children, Christina Cieplak and Marion "Alex" Cieplak III; his siblings, Valeria Skarbek, Stanley Cieplak (Rusty), John Cieplak, Mary Alice Cieplak, Dr. Patrick Cieplak (Karen), Leon Cieplak and Bernard Cieplak (Lisa); and his brother-in-law Alexander Momchilovich. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 15th 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (13401 Piscataway Rd, Clinton, MD 20735). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 15th 2021 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Marion "Alex" Cieplax III, 8004 Bellefonte Lane, Clinton, MD 20735.
