He is survived by: his children, Frederick "Fritz" Rolfes, Jr. (Malini) and Patricia Ann Hauser (Bill); his grandchildren, Richard Lucas III (Amy), Adam Lucas (Jeannie) and Sara Guerro (Shawn); his stepgrandchildren, Billy, Collene and Lindsey; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Noah, Lyle, Logan, Austin, Cooper and Olivia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
