He was predeceased by : his wife Anna R. Homberg; and his son Richard A. Homberg, Sr. (Ava). He is survived by : his children, Robert W. Dean (late Florence), David S. Homberg (Judy), Karl L. Homberg (Joyce) and Susan M. Boblitz (late Mark). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc. (7401 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (10001 Bird River Rd, Middle River, MD 21220).
