He was predeceased by: his parents, William Groome, Sr. and Catherine Groome; his brothers, Harry Groome, John Groome and William Groome, Jr.; and his close friend Jack Linehan.
He is survived by: his sisters, Wilma Burgess and Patricia Gilmore; his nieces and nephews, Karen Denise Hojnacki (Bruce), Stacey McGreevy (Ken) and Robert Gilmore Jr. (Sarah); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Laura, Matthew (Anna), Chase, Tyler, Connor and Aidan. He is also survived by his other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, relatives and friends.
