John Dietz Obituary
We announce the death of John Dietz (Nottingham, Maryland), who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 86. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Dietz and Margaret Dietz; his wife Patricia M. Dietz; his son Paul J. Dietz (Mary Ann); and his siblings, Margaret Gottschalk, Anthony Dietz, Edmund Dietz, Philip Dietz, Marie Schmidt and Madeline Esser.
He is survived by: his children, John M. Dietz (Mary) and Patricia C. Davies (Michael); his grandchildren, Matthew Dietz (Lauren), Jennifer Anderson (Adam), Zachary Dietz (Jessica), Karen Davies, Johan Davies and Daniel Davies; his great grandchildren, Noah Dietz and Daniel Anderson; and his girlfriend Mary Gue. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, family members and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home Inc. (9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (8030 Bradshaw Rd, Kingsville, MD 21087).
