Albert Whitmer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2025, at the age of 90, Albert Whitmer of Oakland, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Brown Whitmer, Sr. and Elsie Whitmer (Crites); his brother Robert Whitmer; and his brothers-in-law, Owen and Gary Kitzmiller.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Whitmer (Kitzmiller); his son Michael Paul Whitmer; his sisters-in-law, Helen Whitmer, Karen Kitzmiller and Shirley Kitzmiller; and his sibling's children, Jason Kitzmiller (Tonya) and Tammy Western (Andy).
Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasant View Baptist Church (8931 Garrett Hwy, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ruth Enlow Library, Pleasant View Baptist Church or charity of donor's choice.
