Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gilbert Bernard Johnson (Oakland, Maryland), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 68, on June 15, 2025. Though Gilbert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gilbert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Johnson and Elzona Byrd Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Bernard Johnson II (Tonya) of Locust Grove, Georgia and Porsha Nettles-Johnson Scales (Derrian) of Huntsville; and his siblings, John Gregory Johnson (Sadie) of South Carolina and Teresa LeBlanc (Lorenzo) of Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
