He is survived by: his wife Carol Newman (Sharpless); his children, Tim Friend, Terry Friend (Maria), Ben Newman (Amy) and Rebekah Newman (Jeremy Emerick); his grandchildren, Destany Friend, Raven Friend, Victoria Friend, Kiara Friend, Allie Newman and Gabriel Newman; his great grandchild Malaya Friend; his sister Shila Childers; and his nieces and nephews, Tamrah Newman, Rachelle Mason, Samantha Aydt, Lowell Childers, Kenny Childers and Dianna Ridder.
