It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Bennett of Oakland, Maryland, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Howard and Helen Sypolt, Sr. (Queen); her husband Donald Wallace Bennett; her siblings, Chuck Sypolt and Patty Jo Sypolt; and her grandchildren, Harrison Dale Resor, III and Katherine Marie McRee.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Mae Resor, Melinda Kay Hubbard, Rhonda Sue Gilbert (Riley) and Daniel Bennett (Michele); and her siblings, James Sypolt, Jr. (Sylvia), Robert Sypolt (Kelly), Carolyn Metheny and Christine Kline (Ed). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (1100 Memorial Dr, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
