She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Seymour "Rowd" and Afle Sisler (Dumire); her husband Willard Ray "Bud" Reckart; and her siblings, Alvin Sisler and Hazel Teagarden.
She is survived by: her children, David R. Reckart and Barbara A. Williams (Francis); her sister Peggy Whittaker of Charleston, WV; and her grandchildren, Angie Reckart (Larry Streets), Chris Williams (Jenn Volkman), Amanda Mattingly (Rich), Josh Reckart (Brittany) and Ashley Amos (Joey). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (1100 Memorial Dr, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
